A Day in the Life

Welcome to my first blog post!

The sites I visit the most often are Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. As far as social media goes, some other sites that I visit the most are SNHU for school work. YouTube to watch some content from one of my favorite podcasts, which is run by some good friends of mine. I use these all in various ways but have found that they offer the best for social and other forms of content.

As far as negative, there are some forms of social media where I see the most negativity play out. Such as Facebook in comments of some news outlets, I always see comments attacking the news station for providing the information, and it makes me wonder why people continue to follow the stations if they don't like what they produce. I see the same thing on Twitter and even a lot more disgusting comments on things. OR even Tweets by people, which are very draining on someone who really enjoys social media and what it has to offer in terms of community. I won't be specific in the types of comments or tweets, because I want to be respectful of those that read this.

I enjoy all of the digital media I access fairly equally. Facebook allows for me to stay in touch with people across the world, and I love that they have a watch section. Where I have found some interesting and fun content creators. I enjoy using Twitter as a way to connect with other writers, and to connect with people who share the same fandoms as me. Along with being able to connect with celebrities who I might not have ever had the chance to before.

Yes, I get emails from companies, the ones that I mostly open are from Kate Spade and Youth to the People when they're having sales. I have unsubscribed from a lot of email lists lately though, because I want to make my email just for personal and professional use only soon.

There are so many ads everywhere today, especially on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter. These are actually genius moves when it comes to marketing, because those are where people spend a lot more time than they used to. Especially during those times of isolation. It helps to show the products to the largest amount of people without spending a ton of money. It's also nice for the consumer because they can just scroll by or click on the link if they are interested in learning more.
